Who am I? What do I do?
I am Greg, a writer, researcher, and editor.
My work often explores political and historical themes, with a focus on social justice. Having previously worked on projects related to the Grenfell Fire I am committed to using the force of theatre for good. It is my view that theatre has a unique ability to touch and impact people and open conversations.
I was born and raised in Coventry and Warwickshire, England. As a child I struggled with language and found learning incredibly difficult. After years of persistence and tireless work I was diagnosed with dyslexia, which in particular impacts my processing speed. In spite of this I found writing enjoyable and thanks to support from friends, family, and teachers pursued my interest in writing. I was incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to study at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating with a degree in Writing for Performance.
Alongside this work I am politically active, and currently split my time between writing and working for a Member of Parliament. This work focusses on increasing local educational outcomes; reducing poverty; increasing creative, cultural, and sporting opportunities; and beginning to rewrite the story of post-industrial communities.
